Clinical Trials for Patients
Certa Clinic conducts clinical trials of medicinal products involving patients. Not all patients are invited to participate; only those who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria are eligible.
The main inclusion criteria are the presence of a specific diagnosis and the patient’s willingness to participate in the study.
Other selection criteria are applied to ensure that participation in the study and administration of the medication is safe for the patient.
  • Important Considerations:Unexpected or previously unknown side effects may occur.
  • The new treatment may be less effective than standard therapy or may not be effective at all.
  • In randomized clinical trials comparing a new treatment with standard therapy or a placebo (a medication that does not contain the active drug), there is a chance that the patient may not receive the new treatment.
In studies comparing two treatment methods, approximately half of the patients receive the new medication, while the other half receive either standard treatment or a placebo. Neither the patient nor the treating physician can choose which treatment the patient receives, and the patient does not know which treatment they are receiving.

Participation in a clinical trial does not affect the patient’s rights. Patients may withdraw from the study at any time and for any reason without explanation.
